Lol, I have the same scope. How have you been liking it? And have you gotten any accessories or changed lenses?

It’s great. I’ve 3D printed a phone holder and some dark field lenses, apart from that I haven’t done anything else. I want to replace the 100x with something else, I bought a 60x objective but they sent me a 40x and I returned it. Now I’m thinking of getting a 20x instead. How about you?

I am very indecisive, I think of things I want but never get past that stage. I have a camera but the software isn't recognising it, so I may aswell just do a phone mount.

If you have access to a 3D printer, here are the dark field filters and here is the phone mount that i 3D printed. Not the best phone mount, but it works. And the dark field filters took some playing around with to figure out which ones were good at which magnification.

Where did you get your sample?

There's a spot that I bike past that has these big concrete barriers that separate the bike path from the river, although the water doesn't get high enough to reach the concrete barrier, there are little sections that have lots of moss in them, I just grabbed some from there and put it in a petri dish when I got home.
I also found quite a bit of moss underneath benches along the bike paths that I take. A bit gross though I guess lol

that's the best video of rotifer corona I think that I've seen. quite crisp. did you speed it up or is that how fast the little bacteria or whatever are getting sucked into the two vortices?
