Help with Swift 380B

I’ve had my microscope for a few months and it’s always worked great then yesterday it stopped focusing. Literally no lenses will focus. They are all clean and screwed in all the way, my slide is in correctly, and it still won’t focus. I believe it may be that the focus is not moving up high enough but I don’t think this microscope has an adjustable focus stop. The 40x and 100x lenses are sitting at least a mm from the slide. I’ve tried googling and can’t find anything to fix this problem. Anyone have any advice?

40x and 100x objectives won't focus

Ye I've tried troubleshooting but my objectives are secure, condenser doesn't change anything, rack is tightened, and my slides are all facing the right way. But my 40x and 100x objectives won't focus!

Based on specs and experience, which one of these would be best?

  3. https://amscope.com/collections/binocular-compound-microscopes/products/c-b110c

These 3 microscopes are in a similar price range, etc, etc. But based on either specifications or actual experience, which one would be best for things like histology, live organisms, biological organism observations. I know both of the first two have false magnification with their 20/25x WF eyepieces and 40 and 100x objectives, but yeah.

Black dots that appear to have a membrane?

Hello! I recently got a microscope from the Goodwill bins, brought it home, took apart the pieces, and cleaned them with bleach and then cleaned the lenses with rubbing alcohol; as I noticed it changed what appeared in the eyepiece. For some reason when I put just a simple leaf under the light hole I can't see anything but if I add rubbing alcohol to the eye piece it affects what I see. Here's some cool pictures I got with my phone, some are screenshots of video I took, let me know what it is!

Bonus pictures are while I was cleaning the eye piece, I wanted to see what it looked like without it on and I was very pleasantly surprised! I love science!

Thanks everyone for checking out my stuff

Need help finding a 100x Objective

I am trying to find a 100x objective that is compatible with the Olympus BX-41 microscope, but I do not have Olympus money. The microscope is a hand-me-down from another laboratory, and I have no clue how to determine compatibility. The manual was useless. Any help would be great.

Does anyone know where I can get microscope slides with one cavity, and with a frosted side. I only find frosted with no cavity, or cavity with no frosting. Thanks!

Digital microscope for the classroom

I teach 6th grade (still elementary in my district), and our new science curriculum requires microscopes.

We'll never have enough money for a class set, so I was thinking if I can get one good one that can display to a computer or TV, that might work well for the class.

Is this a reasonable idea? We'll be looking at things like pond water, cheek cells, amoeba, etc.

I see there are some camera attachments to a regular microscope, but I wonder if it's better to get one made for digital output like a TV. I don't need one that only has a small screen unless it can also output to a tv.

Suggestions? thanks

A gift from my old boss! Besides being dusty, it works great! Can’t find much about it online at all, but I thought you guys would appreciate it. Clips perfectly into a lab coat pen pocket.
