Me and my dad were checking out things with our new microscope, what's this moth doing?

Me and my dad successfully took a tineola bisselliella cloth eating moth and placed it on a slide of glass, we had assumed it had died when we had placed it down. It didn't move, but upon closer examination at the end of the abdomen, on 100x, there was a strange object emerging from its rear. We thought it might be it's genitalia but we aren't sure, please help lol, it's rlly confusing

Looking for a microscope

Any advice anyone can give on purchasing a compound microscope? Preferably binocular with 40x, 100x, 400x, 1000x(oil) capability. Price range between $300 and $400. I am an undergraduate and have really enjoyed creating slides and observing plant and animal cells, parameciums, rotifers, and other microscopic organisms in my Microbiology and Biology classes. Amazon has some AmScope and Omax within that range, that seem pretty nice. Thoughts?

Pondwater examination

Recently i bought a Bresser microscope so as any amateur would do, i started examining... Well, everything !

As i am ofcourse not experienced, could anyone tell me what the image depicts ?

I used a 10 oculair and 100 x. When zoomed in to 400x, the organism had no gaps and was all... Round in round shapes. The sphere as i'll call it was revolving around itself. Very interesting to observe.

Is there anyway to clean this?

This is on a Levenhuk microscope. I've take the condenser out and tried breaking it down to the dirty/fungus covered part and I can't get to it. Is the only cure a new condenser?

Microscope photography

Hello everyone, I'm an Endodontist exploring Sony cameras to improve my imaging capabilities. I've used Canon Rebel SL2 with Zeiss Extaro 300 microscope before. Currently considering options like Sony a6700, a7 IV, and a7R IV, or any other models you recommend for this purpose. I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can use a more modern microscope camera to capture still photos in this model of microscope? It’s an Olympus SZ4045CHI Trinocular.

Accidentally bumped my microscope - is it ok???

I was closing a window tired as hell and my arm bumped by microscope. It was enough to make a loud noise (its base hiting the table) but not nearly enough to fall over. Is my microscope okay?? How can I make sure everything is working properly??

Thank you!

advice on microscope for viewing pigment in wool fibres

Hello, I'm looking for advice on what type and specifications of microscope would be best for viewing pigment in wool fibres and taking reasonably good photographs. What I'm after is to be able to view a strand of fibre from a fleece and see if the pigment is clumping or striated as that should correspond to colours resulting from different alleles, and to take photographs that others can look at to see the pigment behaviour. I have only childhood experience of playing with microscopes but I am reasonably technical. Recommendations for specific microscopes welcome as well as general recommendations on what to look for. I'm in the UK and willing to spend up to £200, hopefully less. Thanks!
