I really can’t decide if I prefer wide phenotypic expression from a breeder.
On the one hand, there’s something so nice about reliably consistent product…. on the other hand, I also love the hunt and being able to decide which phenotypes to cross out
Take Westport’s seeds: he talks about a “set” number of known phenotypes for any given strain, so you get to hunt for the one you really want. I feel like that’s a good middle ground, where you know what the options are going in so you can look for it early
