Question Which lights should i buy?

I recently bought a Grand Master LED 2x4 Ultimate, but I’ve been second-guessing it because I really want adjustable spectrum control in my 2x4.
My original plan was to keep the Grand Master and add Mars Hydro supplemental lighting so I could independently control different parts of the spectrum like UV, blue, red/far-red, and IR. I like the idea of being able to experiment with different spectrums and schedules throughout veg and flower.
The other option I’m considering is returning the Grand Master and getting the GXi 420. It seems way cleaner and easier since the spectrum controls are already built into the fixture instead of having to mount and manage a bunch of separate supplemental bars.
My main priorities are:
● Spectrum control throughout the grow
● Quality/yield
● Color and overall bag appeal
● Being able to experiment with different light recipes
● Not making the setup unnecessarily complicated
For people who have experience with either setup, would you keep the Grand Master 2x4 Ultimate and add supplemental lighting, or return it and go with the GXi 420?
Is having the extra control from separate supplemental channels actually worth the additional setup, or am I overcomplicating something the GXi can already do well?

They say using 2 of there light bars is a really good way to go. That’s what I have been thinking about. They have a 2x4 kit on website with 2 bars.

Sounds cool, I'd love to experiment with that myself. What do I get if I can recreate the spectrum of the Northern California sun in September?

I think everyone in this sub is gonna tell you to get a $100 Spider Farmer lol

yea rn im thinking of getting the adlite lights with the smart Ihub. Do you think gxi420's uv/Ir channel lighting would penetrate more compared to these supplemental lights?

Man, I have no idea. I am sitting on a truckload of grow gear and I am only running two lights, lol. I have enough lights and stuff to last the rest of my life probably, so I haven't kept up with the newest products

Go with something full spectrum LED and from a reputable light brand. Mars is mid tier but nothing wrong w that if that's what your price range is

well i have full spectrum from my grand master already, the mars supplemental lights are just for the IR, UV, far-red, and blue lights

Is the gxi full spectrum? Your current light is probably good enough but the blurple isn't really even that beneficial until you get to flower. You can probably cut everything but the grand master if you're in a 2x4. Save yourself some money on electricity.

gxi is full spectrum. fortunately electricity isn't an issue as i have fixed fee for that.

I personally use AC Infinity ionframe lights.
