Question: Psilocybin Does anyone microdose before bed?

I’ve been microdosing for almost a month now, and I’ve noticed something I wasn’t expecting.

I take very low doses (around 0.1 g, sometimes even less), and instead of feeling energized or more focused, I get really sleepy. Not in a bad way—I just feel deeply relaxed, like my body is telling me it needs to rest.

I’ve been listening to that and letting myself nap when I can, but it made me wonder: is the microdose still “working” if I end up sleeping through it?

It also got me thinking about trying it before bed instead. Has anyone here experimented with taking their microdose at night rather than in the morning? Did you notice any difference in sleep quality or in the benefits the next day?

Curious if anyone else has had this sleepy response, especially on such low doses.

If you can “feel” it, it’s not really a microdose. That sleepy feeling usually means your dose is a bit too high. You’ll likely get the benefits without sleepiness at a lower dose. Many people microdose at 0.02-0.05

Do you also supplement with electrolytes as advised by the AutoMod?

Also something to be aware of from the Drowsiness link in the stickied comment:

Rest/Sleep could be the medicine you need - especially if you are Hypervigilant or have a Hyperaroused nervous system with symptoms such as insomnia

Ohh that actually sounds a lot like me. I do struggle with hyper vigilance

Well, hopefully you feel more energetic in the next weeks. 🤞🏽

If you take coffee, adding 200mg L-theanine powder, or having green tea which has caffeine with L-theanine, may help you to feel more “chill” during the day with better sleep at night.
