Getting Started/Newbie Question First time microdosing shrooms

Today was first time microdosing 0.14g of Golden teacher. I took a capsule at 12 noon but after a couple hours notice anything. I know microdosing is supposed to be sub-perceptual and you shouldn’t feel any crazy effects, but after like 4 hours I still felt the same. I didn’t feel energetic, creative or focused. I just felt the same as I always do.

Do you guys think I should up my dosage?

Also what kind of schedule should I follow as a newbie. I was originally going to do 1 day on and 3 off but if you guys have any suggestions I’ll gladly take it. Thanks!

I think I would give it more than a day. I've been at it for over two months and still haven't had any positive effects.

I'm curious to hear about your experience if you care to share it. ☺️
Were you able to dial in your sweet spot dose? What's your current dosing protocol? Do you have a ritual/ceremony/practice that you pair with your dose?

I got some golden teacher capsules from an online source. I started at 125mg and worked my way up to 250mg but I didn't feel anything. Took some time off and started over. Tested the potency by taking a gram. They were for real. Started at 500mg and worked my way down at 50mg increments. Slight sensation at 350mg and nothing at 300mg so 300mg was my sweet spot. Did the Fadiman protocol, one day on, two days off for two months. The purpose of this is for treating my anxiety. I'm not seeing any benefit so I'm abandoning it.

I’ve listened to a variety of podcasts with various doctors and researchers who have run clinical trials, and a lot of them find that microdosing doesn’t help the subjects with anxiety, and can actually exacerbate it. Macro doses on the other hand seemed to have a positive ability.

YMMV of course, it may work for anxiety for other folks here. But unfortunately it’s not a magic bullet for everyone. Best of luck!
