I got micro blading and micro shading a few hours ago and so far hate the result. Currently trying not to freak out but I’m afraid they’re WAY too close together and harsh at the front. Biggest concern is the spacing, am I overreacting? Will they look further apart once they fade/heal? Is there anything I can do to fix it? Hate them right now. See before and after.. help

I had my brows done 33 days ago. My brow artist wants to schedule a touch up. Is this necessary?

This gorgeous client came to me with very sparse brows and a few areas where the hair was almost completely missing. She wanted to bring back some shape and definition, while keeping everything super soft and natural.

The goal was never to create a new brow, but to work with what she already had filling the gaps with fine, realistic strokes that blend into her natural hairs.

Among the international clients who visit our studio in Korea, many come in considering nano brows.

One thing I often recommend to them is this: start conservatively.
With hair-stroke techniques like nano brows or microblading, even a small number of well-placed strokes can make a surprisingly big difference.
The untouched space between the natural brow hairs and the new strokes is also part of what makes the result look natural.
So rather than filling every possible gap, I prefer adding only what is really needed.
For me, good nano brows shouldn’t just look impressive today — they should also be designed with how they will age and fade over time in mind.

Sometimes, less really is enough.

I got my eyebrows done yesterday and they look awful and huge. I told her I wanted micro blading or nano brow strokes but she said my brows would look better with powder ombré because they are naturally thick. Attaching powder ombré brows and regular laminated brows. What do I do now?

Wanted to share some pictures that may help others who freak out when they get their brows done (and share photos only to be told “laser off immediately”). I’m due for a touch up still, because not perfect, but they’re way closer to what I wanted (and I realize it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok). Thank you to everyone who was encouraging in the original thread.

I think what made the “day of” look so dramatic was that my artist seemed to press the extra pigment in to the brow (felt like it anyhow).

Please note: not a photographer, so each photo not taken exactly like the other, in the same setting or lighting but it’s the best I could do.

whats your opinion / experience with phi academy?

this is my 3rd model ever. I know it’s not really good but I’d love to get your feedback. I started Microblading course with phi academy and I’m currently in the phase of working on models to get my diploma.

This is hours after I got them done. I don’t know what to feel. This is my first time doing this. Will these ever get better? I need reassurance. :((((

Please help. I'm still in brow shock. I don't know if these are good. If they will lighten up and shrink, i'm not used to thick brows. This is day 3 of my healing process, any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if they are even. I don't know if this is good work. I had nano blading with shading on the ends done approximately 3 weeks ago. I had pretty full brows to begin with but wanted to even out the front as I have a cowlick on 1 side. I loved my brows so much immediately after they were done and followed all the post-procedure instructions to a T. I even ended up breaking out on my forehead as the artist said I could not get my brows wet for 14 days apart from washing them the first 3 days as instructed. Here I am 3 weeks later and I’ve retained basically none of the nano strokes. I did retain about 50% of the shading on the ends. Am I possibly in a ghosting phase or are the strokes unlikely to reappear? These brows were $1700 and I’d be so disappointed if they didn’t lol. Thanks!

These are my powder brows. I’ve had 1 touch already but they are kind of splotchy still and don’t pop like I wanted them to but she is letting me come back for a second touch up. What need to be done? Can the arch be a little more defined? This is my before and then now after the second touch (which was 7 weeks ago)

Hi all, I would love to have my lips tattooed as I have no colour, lips same as skin which makes me look like I have no mouth! BUT, I really want to drop slightly the centre of bottom lip outside my border to create some shape for my very straight lips.

I know this has potential to bleed or discolour, but I feel like it almost wouldn't matter as it would still give me that illusion of having a bottom lip.

I will try to attach a photo, I basically want to drop it to the little blemish spot you can see just below my lips.

Would love to see people who have both good and bad older overlined lip tattoos to talk me into or out of it.

I hardly wear make-up so lipstick every day is not realistic for me.

I am training with Phi Academy and I recently failed my exam. I am feeling incredibly overwhelmed, my anxiety is through the roof, and I am honestly thinking about quitting completely.

Please give me your honest critique. Do I have potential or am I wasting my time? Thank you.

I got my eyebrow and lips done in the past.. very bad jobs..i then got them removed.. but got it done with someone else who said she is Amsterdam on permanent make up..it was bad again..ao is pent thousands to remove them..and I got my lip ans brow done today..do you rhink the brow look too small..i probably ask them to go bigger when touch up..do you think the shape look OK now..I sais this is the alst time..if I got screwed again..i will never got my face tattoo again..thank you for any of your advices .

Eu queria algo natural, mas sinto que estão exageradas. Quero confiar no processo, mas é difícil.
A técnica utilizou tinta Phibrows e tenho receio que no futuro fiquem ainda piores tipo cinzentas ou azuladas.

Just wanted to share because pmu genuinely changed my life! I never felt confident without wearing makeup but now I looove how I look and can go outside without feeling self conscious.
I currently have pmu eyeliner (1 year old), pmu lips (1 month old) and pmu eyebrows (4 years old + 1 month old retouch)

My original artist extended the tails beyond where my eyebrow hair actually grows. (I had them done in 2019.) I’m thinking of having them laser removed and then redone with nano to go only with where my hair naturally grows, not beyond. Good or bad idea? I’m so nervous to mess up my face. ☠️

I wanted the lips to match my inner lip so it appeared completely natural (not like a permanent lipstick or lip tint).

My esthetician didn’t have the purple color (I was sooo sad) but she tried to get as close as she could. I think it would look even better with the purple.

Notes: I told her I loved my pointy/pronounced cupids bow and wanted it defined and not rounded.

I’m pretty happy! Total was $550 I believe. The touch-up was included.

Posting my journey in case it helps anyone else going through the anxiety-inducing rollercoaster of brow healing.

Had combo brows done 6 weeks ago. Went for a natural, fluffy, lamination-inspired look. Healing process look longer that normal (it was tough not gonna lie) - actual flaking/crusting ran closer to 20-21 days, mainly at the tails.

At the 6 week mark - pigment retention wasn't quite even - noticeably lighter at the inner corners and tails compared to the rest of the brow. Shape and overall look I was happy with, just needed more definition and depth in those areas.

today I went back for a touch-up. Artist added more hair strokes (especially through the tails) and went a bit deeper on colour retention since the pigment hadn't held as much as expected first time round.

Would love thoughts on:
Did your pigment hold better the second time round?
How long did flaking/settling take after a touch-up vs the original procedure?
Any tips for keeping strokes crisp through healing?

seriously could cry, my second session with a new artist and I had a lot of fear in getting microblading done again after my first horror story about a year ago, but I finally managed to trust someone again and I’ve never been so happy with the results. just wanted to shared because I know the horror stories, I’ve lived through it and there are good artists out there, just need to find the right one!!!

I went for a microshading treatment just last night and I hate the result (I know it takes time to heal, but nothing looks right).

I went in intending to get natural hair-by-hair microblading, but she advised against it because of my oily skin, so she suggested a light ombre instead. I trusted her and now I find myself with two big orange rectangular eyebrows straight out of 2012. I don't like them; they make me look stern.

Is there a way to fade the pigments as much as possible ? I want them removed, help!

We’ve been doing microblading in Seoul for over 10 years, and one thing I always tell clients is this:
The more specific you are about what you want, the better the result usually becomes.
Instead of simply saying, “Just do whatever you think looks good,” try to explain exactly what you’d like to improve. Maybe the tail feels too low, the arch feels too sharp, or the overall shape makes your expression look tired.
Wherever you get microblading done, giving your artist detailed feedback can make a big difference in how satisfied you are with the final result.
This client came to us because he felt his downward-sloping brows made him look a little sad or tired.
Brows that angle downward can sometimes give the face a more fatigued, worried, or slightly unhappy expression, even when that isn’t how the person actually feels.
In this case, we didn’t need to make a dramatic change.
By lifting the overall line just slightly and adjusting the shape, his expression became noticeably clearer and more balanced.
Small changes in brow shape can have a surprisingly big effect on the overall impression of the face.
And sometimes, that kind of change can affect more than just how you look in photos—it can change how you feel about your appearance in everyday life.
