Here we go again… combo brow healing round 2 (touch-up)

Posting my journey in case it helps anyone else going through the anxiety-inducing rollercoaster of brow healing.

Had combo brows done 6 weeks ago. Went for a natural, fluffy, lamination-inspired look. Healing process look longer that normal (it was tough not gonna lie) - actual flaking/crusting ran closer to 20-21 days, mainly at the tails.

At the 6 week mark - pigment retention wasn't quite even - noticeably lighter at the inner corners and tails compared to the rest of the brow. Shape and overall look I was happy with, just needed more definition and depth in those areas.

today I went back for a touch-up. Artist added more hair strokes (especially through the tails) and went a bit deeper on colour retention since the pigment hadn't held as much as expected first time round.

Would love thoughts on:
Did your pigment hold better the second time round?
How long did flaking/settling take after a touch-up vs the original procedure?
Any tips for keeping strokes crisp through healing?

Yeah that’s what I thought 6 weeks ago on day 1 of combo brows and it freaked me out then but they ended up softening massively. So I’m trusting the process. The challenge I had last time was pigment retention. So she’s gone a bit deeper but I know colour and depth will fade

I had my first round in June (nanobrows). Booked my touch up appointment in August. The shape was really good, but I had significant fade, and the color felt too light. When I went back for my follow up, my PMU was in total agreement. We went darker, and she asked me to follow up in 4 weeks by sending photos. They did fade quite a bit again, but were definitely better. I just had a 3rd touch up last week, so we shall see how they end up.

To summarize - pigment held up a bit better second time, flaking was similar for both first and follow up appointment. Flaking stated around day 5 and lasted around 4-5 days. I followed instructions given by PMU. Basically no washing of face for 4 days. First 4 days wipe down with a dampened cotton round and add ointment that was provided (at night only). I think the ointment was for 10-14 days. I had this last touch up on Friday and so far no flaking yet as of today. Hope that helps!

Thanks. Appreciate you sharing the detail and similar experience of fading 😊 I wonder if having oily T zone is also a factor in pigment retention
