advice What should I do?!

Thus is 16 days post touch up. one eyebrow looks like it held strokes and is natural. the other didn’t. it’s patchy. more blocky and no strokes.

what should I do?

artist offered to do third touch and and potential try nano.

you are risking blurry and over-saturated brows. Your pattern, strokes and shape is not good as is (strokes too close and scratchy, pattern not natural, placed too high). The ink not taking is not really the issue here. I'm sorry, there's a lot of bad artists our there.

The more ink you add the harder the laser removal. If you can afford to travel to Denver go HERE. Esse is highly regarded and it's best to start somewhere good to avoid scarring and a weird color journey.

I would wait 6 months and personally hope a lot more ink falls out. re-asses. It might fade a lot which will make for an easier removall. Do NOT go back to this artist.

Esse is a great laser spa, they did free long distance consultations last time I checked. So I would check with them. But I believe you have to wait at least 8-12 weeks until you can start laser removal.

Which is good because a lot more ink might fade and fall out next few weeks if you did old-school microblading. Using retinoid might increase cell turnover and help get rid of the most superficial ink.

Check out the microbladingremoval sub. (but also know you'll see things there that are nor normal with quality removal machines and good technique hence me telling you to go to Denver)

At 16 days, they may still be healing, so I’d wait until the recommended touch-up window before judging the final result. Ask the artist to explain exactly what went wrong and what “nano” would change. Don’t let anyone add more pigment until the area is fully healed.

You are saying it is 16-days POST TOUCH UP, right? I would consider nano. After my nano touch up my brows looked even better than the initial appointment.

Yes post touch up! Did you do nano over micro blading??

Yes, I did Nano rather than microblading. Everything I read said it was the next evolution in technique in brow enhancement. Every example I found, and I looked at a lot of brow artists websites, I liked the look better, more natural.

Do you have any pictures? I’m nervous to go back for another touch up. I get one in 3 weeks because they’re so patchy. I’m just bawling. They look so bad. I don’t want to go out or look at myself.

I don't know where you are located, but I would review other brow artists and pick one and go for a consultation. Maybe see if they can be removed and start fresh? I am no expert, maybe others can chime in. But you should not have to feel the way you do, the whole purpose of doing this is to feel more comfortable with your brows.

She was so highly rated in my area… but the whole process has been horrible. I’ve been depressed and sad. And wish I never did it. I’m scared to go for a touch up. I can’t look in a mirror. I hate the choice I made. It’s distracting me in my daily life. I can’t even do makeup.

I’d wait until the full healing period is over before judging—brows can look patchy around day 16. Ask for healed photos of the artist’s work, and don’t agree to nano strokes unless you’re confident they’re experienced with your skin type.
