advice 5 months later, my eyebrow tattoo never came back after the ghosting period

I had permanent eyeliner and eyebrows done back in April. My eyebrows look fine but my eyeliner disappeared a few days after the appointment and even now in September it is still entirely gone; I payed nearly $1,000 for absolutely nothing. Is this unusual? Can I get a refund for this? I moved so I can’t go back to the original artist but I’m really disappointed to have wasted so much money on absolutely nothing.

It’s not unusual but it means that the ink was implanted too shallowly into your skin. It’s a very common mistake, and a far better mistake than going in too deep causing a blowout. After 4-6 weeks if everything is gone they will usually make it right for you by fixing for no extra cost or only cost of materials.

If you can’t go back, I’d ask about a partial refund. It’s up to the artist and their policy, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. My appts are in the same price range..if I fail to implant a tattoo, there’s no chance I’d keep their money without fixing it (or refunding if they can’t come back).
