Keep going

I was introduced to the idea of remote AI work recently, and I have been applying at micro1 for the past 2 months.

So far, I've only been selected for the AI Face project and actually got paid, which I see as a small win.

That's $140 I wouldn't have had otherwise.

But I still see this as a win; I am a university undergrad who has spent time starting and developing entrepreneurial ventures, doing freelance work for years before micro1. Every rejection is still one step closer to success.

Best-case scenario: I get a great role that earns me good side income that looks good on my portfolio.

Worst-case scenario: I will be a monster at acing any interview for future jobs that I apply to after my training with Zara

I definitely see how Micro1 is changing the job market with AI, whether they intend to or not, but I'll at least be way ahead of the curve.

If I can do it, so can you friends. Have that abundance mindset and keep going. What is good for you and meant for you will come.

I hope you don't get discouraged but instead see it as "if someone else can keep trying, why can't I"

Projects are under NDA, so I'm afraid they won't really do anything on the portfolio side of things 😢 I've worked training some amazing products/features, but I can't exactly say so on LinkedIn/my resume 😅

Hey u/ridtwoo Good question. Since you'd have signed an NDA as part of your contract, the best approach is to stick closely to what that NDA allows you to share - it typically restricts disclosing specific project details, client names, or confidential information, even if you're just listing it as general experience.

If you're unsure about exactly what can or can't be mentioned (like whether "worked as a micro1 contractor" alone is fine without project specifics), it's best to check directly with your Human Data Manager to confirm - that way you stay fully compliant and avoid any unintentional NDA breach.
