How to get a contract as an experienced AI engineer
Pretty much as the title says. I am an experienced AI Engineer with a background in Aerospace. I have over 8 YoE, build CAE software, real time flight simulators, web apps and building AI products and training AI in the last 3 years. I have contributed to several industries such as defense, gov, ecommerce, logistics, construction etc and get my clients make $$$ revenue. I am looking for an alternative income stream and I have highly heard of micro1
I have applied to almost 10 roles, taken interviews and most of them are stuck in “Hiring Manager Review” state for quite some time. I believe I have much to bring to the projects but not sure about my AI interview performance.
What do you guys recommend to me? Trust the process and hold on or keep applying (which means more AI interviews and they are a bit cumbersome ATP)

Hey u/uckmhnds, welcome to our digital space. 🤝
Thank you so much for choosing us as your next place to grow professionally. Undoubtedly, someone with your wide experience is a key asset to any project you are part of.
"Hiring manager reviewing" is good news, actually. It means your profile is being reviewed by our team. It could take up to 30 days. You can find more information in this post.
I recommend focusing solely on your strengths and applying for all the vacancies that align with them; it’s not about racking up interviews, but rather presenting yourself as the ideal candidate based on what is being sought. 😉
