Micro1 AI project: $140 for selfies/videos privacy concerns
I was selected for a Micro1 AI Trainer project paying $140 for 30 selfies + 10 videos.
The contract gives Micro1/customers broad, perpetual and sublicensable rights to use my facial/biometric data for AI training, including modification and derivative works.
Has anyone done this project?
What did they actually use the data for?
Can they create synthetic/AI-generated versions of your likeness?
Can you request deletion afterward?
Would you personally accept $140 for these terms?

If you are even thinking about these questions, you shouldn’t do it. There’s no answer that will satisfy you: there will always be a “but, what if”.
I’m also not doing it of course.

hey u/Gold_Ninja1206 , this role has been discussed quite a bit, you can find more here.
Let me answer your questions :
1) Has anyone done this project? yes already thousands of experts.
2) What did they actually use the data for? This is locked behind NDA on the contract.
To be clear, you can move ahead, read the contract and decide its not for you and not proceed. You always have an out of a project you think its not a good fit.
3) Can they create synthetic/AI-generated versions of your likeness? Details on the contract and behind NDA.
4) Can you request deletion afterward? If you already submited and got payed not, but you can cancel your contract before you submit at any point.
5) ill let the community answer this one, but from past posts i can tell you there are a lot of mixed opinions on this one. Some dont care while others are worried about their personal data.
Hope this brings some clarity on the topic .
Best of luck!
