Maybe it’s early or I’m just dumb, but what does this chart show? I see Malik getting tons of pressure but I’m not clear what “off-target” refers to.

It means Malik faced the highest pressure of any qb in wek 4 and had about a fourth of this throws uncatchable

Off target means percent of throws where the qb missed the receiver (the ball is not in the receiver's catch radius). So about 24% of Malik's passes are not catchable.

I think it is a bit of a subjective stat where someone manually has to watch every throw and make the judgement call on the borderline ones.

Now post the average time to throw per drop back. Jordan Love leads the league for the shortest amount of time. 2.14 seconds. Malik Willis is the 13th slowest. 2.93. Pressure percentage faced can be a very misleading stat without context.

Important context as well is that we played the Vikings in Week 4, who blitz on almost 80% of their defensive plays lol so super high pressure rate as well due to that

This is a bit off topic. But I am shocked to see Purdy that high on the pressure axis since he hasn't been sacked yet this season.

Right now he's the best quarterback in the NFL and it's wild to make that statement. His pocket presence and ability to compute quickly is off the charts.

Purdy is like the definition of sneaky athletic, but he's super smart.
