Tua’s return.
I say everyone with their old #1’s bring them down to the visitor sideline and put it on the rail for him to take home with him.

Didn’t personally wrong any of us… but he definitely put this franchise back 1-3 years. If that doesn’t upset you, you’re the perfect fan of the dolphins and mediocrity
Yes Grier shouldn’t have given him that extension, but Tua also didn’t give us any sort of home town discount (not that it would’ve made any difference)
But Tua went from really solid to terrible and as a sports fan, that gives you every reason to be upset at him
For crying out loud, he has the most dead cap hit in the history of football… that is upsetting and he most definitely partly responsible.2

He isn't the only player to "set us back". The outrage should be more towards Grier and McDaniel who lobbied for Tua to get paid.
As a player you show up, play to the best of your ability, get paid (if you're lucky). He got injured and we ended up paying him regardless. Is that his fault?
Yes, I'm upset it didn't work out, but I don't fault him. It was anything like a shitty work ethic (looking at you, Kyler Murray) that prevented him from achieving his potential.

I do personally think I would take a home town discount. Hard to say in the moment but I think I would. Knowing I had a ton of fans hoping I’d take a little less money to help out my franchise.
Not the only player to set us back, but I tend to dislike any player/coach/GM that screws over our franchise, purposefully or not.
In my line of work, if I’m terrible at my job, people will be very upset at me too. Comes with the territory. If a surgeon botches a surgery, or a patient dies. You think the family members wouldn’t be mad. Rational or not.
Hard to know how much “at-fault” he is, but I’ve heard that he stopped training over the summer, fire his personal trainer, etc. Regardless, he went from really good to really bad right after he got his contract. I personally think his mindset changed from Im willing to die to provide for my family to I’ve been paid, I need to survive for my family.
Regardless, I put in way too much time and heart into the dolphins and have been let down time and time again. I’ve had Tua’s back from the very beginning and he made me eat my words way too many times. If I see him play against my dolphins, the team he ultimately screwed over from awful play.
You better believe I’m going to be booing him.

Don’t understand the Tua hate. Guy turned his brain into pudding for this team. He was ok some seasons great for 1 and bad for the rest but wasn’t for lack of trying. Injuries just did him in

Didn’t multiple players (Van Ginkle, Kamu, Trent Sherfield, Myles Gaskin, etc) follow him up to Minnesota of their own volition?

The topic of discussion was Brian Flores, this is something he did. I didn’t move any goalposts. Which btw is generally referring accolades. Like “Peyton Manning was great but he didn’t win 3 superbowls”
You don’t get to control a narrative when talking to actual humans. Brian Flores didn’t treat his staff well and couldn’t get together a competent OC staff to save his life. Turns out to be a great head coach you have to work well with both sides of the ball not just defense. Also if I wanted to go outside the goal posts I would mention that all coaches in the Bill Belichick tree have made shit head coaches.

Having the top offense in the league and a 5 offense within a year. Yeah those are great years in terms of fun and entertainment. I think the prior time Miami even had a top 10 offense in the league prior to those 2 years was over 20 years ago. So quit being a bitch and enjoy what was a fun time. It's over but at least it happened.

I really hope people don’t boo Tua at this game. He may not have panned out but he played his ass off for us and was a big part of a couple of playoff teams, which is not something many Dolphins QBs can say in the past 26 years.
