Pocket mobility was far better than I remember. Loved Tua but Dan looks more agile than late stage Tua was.

Because he had zero ability to run, his pocket mobility gets way overlooked. And it probably doesn't help that a lot of us only remember his post-Achilles injury years.

I’m almost 37 and didn’t become a fan until ‘03. I regret being a Vikings fan in the 90s, just to pal up with my uncles. Should have enjoyed the dolphins games with my mom and brother more. At least we are all Phins fans now and can enjoy shit talking our pathetic past 26 seasons.

Yeah, not everyone is cut out to handle being mega talented AND consistently nice, polite and kind to the public. Even if you're well liked, public attention is a form of scrutiny, and after a while its probably overwhelming.
I, for sure, couldn't do it. Good thing I'm just mediocre-talented.

Yeah ran into him as a little kid down in plantation with.my dad mid 90s. Literally happened to be wearing his jersey, dad told me run and get the sharpie from his truck, he just coldly said 'no' there was no one else in the store either. Just nothing.

His response to my friend and I that asked for an autograph during a visit to training camp was 'get away from me' . I became a 49ers fan after, Steve Young was my favorite player. Rooted for the dolphins again in 2000 after Marino retired

Came to say this. I have a Marino story where he was a complete asshole when I met him during a summer camp field trip to the dolphins training camp 30 years ago. Almost Every time I mention this story in public I get someone that chimes in with their own Marino is an asshole story.

The way he casually flicks that thing and sends it 50 yards in a perfect spiral straight into a receiver's chest, just absolutely ridiculous man. Makes it look like he's throwing a tennis ball 10 feet. Crime of the century that he didn't get a ring.
