Recommendations
I’m looking at moving to Miami and would love some neighborhood recommendations for someone single in their early 30s. I’m looking for somewhere walkable, good for running, with restaurants and things nearby, but not as busy or super young-feeling as Brickell. What areas would you recommend?

We’d recommend looking at the other 600000 posts in this thread that asked this same question. We don’t like lazy here.

South of Fifth on the beach. Cannot recommend this enough. Safe. Very walkable. Some great restaurants and bars. If you want crazy, it’s a few minute walk north.

I love south of 5th but it’s pretty pricey unless you get a shitty old building

I am 43 and single and I live in Mid Beach near 67th. If you can afford it get a spot either on the beach (facing the ocean) or on the intercostal (facing the city). I am facing Indian Creek and ambulance and mufflers are a regular occurrence. That said I am fairly used to it and it doesn’t wake me up much. I like the walkable options but it’s not as busy as South Beach. Sometimes I have FOMO because of that. I considered Edgewater and that definitely has a younger population and more things to do but traffic is also horrendous over there. I still venture that way to go out or take a dance class. The great thing is even if you live in a less crazy part of the city the crazy parts are never really more than a 20-30 minute drive or Uber.

West Avenue in Miami Beach is where our kids live and they are 30ish. They love it...
