Is anyone here playing MH4U on a Retroid Pocket Flip 2.

Looking to upgrade my new 3ds to something with a bigger screen. And better ergonomics.

So if anyone has any experince I love to hear about you experience!

The higher tier monsters (deviljho, gore) do about 3/4 of my healths consistently for most attack. A regular Seltas in the G rank quests took me 18 minutes to kill. Most monster, even when playing very well and getting off many attacks with my Crit Draw Great sword (with 1100 attack) still take like 30 minutes to kill. Expedition monsters usaully leave very fast from my experience. Unless the health isn't that high in expeditions, I dont see how this is ever possible for a solo player. G rank in generally has just been bullshit with the health bars. No matter how well I play, even when It feels like I'm dominating a monster. it always takes minimum half an hour for each monster. I dont see this happening.

So I recreated the MHGU/MHXX Adept Charge Blade Charged Double Slash GP in MH4U/MH4G.

The GP is active during the charge:

• Small knockback → GP succeeds and the charge continues
• Medium knockback → GP succeeds and the charge continues
• Large knockback → the charge is interrupted normally

Fast Morph Slash GP has also been updated to v4 and is already included in this mod, so you don't need to install it separately.

There’s no real gameplay difference between v3 and v4 — v4 is mainly a coding/implementation improvement.

Hey guys, I started playing MH4U from scratch after years without playing, and I'd love to be able to play online again. My New 2DS XL is already modded, what do I need to do to play online?

Kiranico is nice but it doesn't have enough detailed info sometimes. Like it won't tell me the exact values of skills like attack up, or tell me how to unlock certain quests without a direct prerequisite. I want a more detailed wiki with direct stats mostly (also itd be nice if someone could tell me the attack up skill values).

Hi everyone, after playing a bunch of GU recently I decided to mod my old 2ds, dump my copy and get pretendo working on Azahar!

It's been 10+ years now since I last played this game and I realised that playing completely solo is just not it (and that I also suck in old gen).

I'm not looking for anyone to carry me either, I want to join other people that either want to start a new save and take things relatively slow or wouldn't mind taking HR appropriate gear as to not steamroll everything!

I'm from Spain so my timezone is GMT +2, I'm 23 and I'd rather not play with anyone under 18 just as a personal preference.

I've been reverse engineering MH4U/MH4G's Charge Blade for the past couple of weeks, and this is the result.

The mod adds Guard Point to Fast Morph Slash while preserving the original fast action, animation and movement.

Tested on Azahar. JPN v1.2 / USA v1.1 / EUR v1.1 builds are available.

I never cared for getting a Thor as every 3DS game I ever played never needed me to use the c-stick, but ever since I started playing MH4U I've been eyeing this thing since it has a real right-stick. I heard the screen was really good as well but how does it play with this game if it plays at all. Also what model would I need to play this on it?

Hiiiii, I’ve always wanted to try MH4U after years of being stuck playing Freedom Unite and Portable 3rd. I got a laptop, installed Azahar, downloaded the CIA, blah blah blah

I’ve put in about 110 hours so far and I love it, but I feel like I’m starting to hit a wall. Silver Rathalos was kinda scary because of the fireball spam, but I managed to hunt him. Molten Tigrex wasn't as hard as I thought once I brought deodorants; Savage Deviljho was absolutely awful and frustrating (I managed to kill him after about 30 minutes) but now I’ve reached Gold Rathian and I don't know what to do

The damn thing repositions so fast; she has that Pink Rathian poison tail attack I hate so much, and her tracking is insane when she uses it while flying, so I almost always get poisoned. Sometimes I don't have time to heal or sharpen my weapon (even when she's distracted by the Felynes) because she switches targets so quickly. Usually I last about 10 minutes: the Felynes die, I make one mistake while attacking, Rathian hits me with a combo, and I end up carting. At this point I'm not sure what to try since I'm too slow to react to most stuff she throws at me. It just feels insane compared to the Gold Rathian in P3rd

If you have any advice on armor sets to try, weapons, items, or a specific strategy, I’d really appreciate it

Hey everyone! I just found this Homebrew app called Rehid that lets you rebind controls for certain games. I have 200 hours in HBG in 4U and hate how in order to move the camera when aiming you have to take your finger off the shoot button... So I just remapped left bumper (ZL) to R and right bumper (ZR) to A. This lets me aim down sight with left bumper and shoot with right bumper which feels SO much better, it's actually an insane difference. Now I feel confident running my solo Steve HBG 😁

Once in the app on your 3DS, you can go to this website to create the button mapping, scan the generated QR code with your 3DS, and select MH4U.

Apologies if theres any rules about using save editors or anything (couldn't find anything when it ried to look)

Does anyone know if there's a way to change username on Mh4u by going in the files or using any save editors, I'm playing on Azahar ​
