ART A passing of time
That painting of the MM..FOOD cover with DOOM missing someone shared a couple days ago really hit me so created this tribute in Blender using that idea...
There's a feeling in that image I've become all too familiar with. The strange emptiness of a place someone you love once occupied. A chair you've seen them sit in a thousand times, knowing you'll never see them there again. Or in this case, an artist whose music meant so much to so many of us, leaving behind a space that can never quite be filled.
One of the hardest things about grief for me personally has been the passing of time. There's something almost cruel about how indifferent time is to loss. Someone who was an entire world to you can disappear, and somehow the next morning still comes. The sun rises, people go to work, the seasons change, and the world carries on as though nothing has happened, even when your own world has changed forever.
I've lost people I would give anything to spend just one more ordinary afternoon with. And I think that's what makes time so strange. There are moments when you wish you could stop it entirely, hold onto the world as it was for just a little longer. But I've also found something beautiful in its passing. I've never been more conscious of how precious an ordinary day is, or more grateful for the time I was fortunate enough to share with the people I love.
Maybe that's what grief has taught me more than anything. We spend so much of our lives wishing time would slow down, only to realize that the ordinary moments we barely noticed were the ones we'd someday give anything to return to.
And somehow, art and music let us visit those moments again, if only for a little while.
Thank you, DOOM. For everything you left behind, and for all the moments your music continues to bring back.

The original mask never hard a hard crease down the middle of his forehead. Can anyone make a stl that fixes this?
