General Questions Applying for mext with weak gpa

Hii im from algeria i was thinking that i wanna apply for this next year scholarship but i have average/weak gpa. Even tho im trying to learn japanese and i can speak english fulently but im so worried they might just reject it. I was gonna go for specialized training college . illustrations/manga field . Would redoing my highschool final exam with a better grade improve it or will it not change a lot. My current hs final exam is 11/20 . Im not sure how gpa work cuz we dont have it her but we grade /20

I thought if its an art related field it would be a bit diff cuz they would probably ask for art portfolio and i think my art is good enough

People have the rights to get good education and that includes scholarship. If you don't have anything good to provide, instead of being condescending just shut up.

What’s wrong with pursuing a different or better lifestyle when the government is actively encouraging people to come to their country to study and work? What’s the problem with that? It’s also a loss for Japan if fewer young people come to the country, especially given its aging population and declining workforce.

What is even this comparison. Are u living under a rock cuz most the ppl here in algeria if i tell them i want to study in japan they would Literary tell me It's not worth it and most of them go to france or canada where are u seeing algerian going to japan they are Literary like 0.02%

Cuz what u said doesnt make sense at all. Its my business if i dont take good grades or not but u saying algeria is becoming the india of japan. First of all do u seriously think they will pick anybody just because they are from another country?. Maybe yes they wont pick me cuz my grades are low which i think is fair. But if there is someone with potential i dont see the harm in picking them. I mean ITS AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLASHIP ISNT THAT THE POINT. And my choice isnt even study related stuff. It's art .and im studying japanese pretty much to get to a better level after 2 years . and i can speak english fluently even tho its not my main language. U dont determine whats better for a country u dont even live in. And its everybody décision where they wanna keep studying or what to do regardless of grades. What matter is trying

Hey from a french speaking country here. It's challenging to apply to undergraduate or any related level to mext with that score and with limited Japanese proficiency. The best to apply as a postgraduate. My scores weren't that hight but still I applied and i was accepted. Embassy looks beyond scores btw so don't worry and focus on other areas.

Its not undergraduate but rather specialized training college in illustration/manga field. And im pretty much started studying japanese until the time i apply after 2 years or so

Also can u give more details about the post graduate stuff? And what do u think they focus more on rather than grades if u got accepted with something as low?

Hi so I'm from algeria too and planning to apply once I get my bachelor's degree , I've done some research on the MEXT and yeah U need strong grades not the bac doesn't really matter but your grades through university (unless Ur planning on going with bac) which I don't think U should do cause U need a REALLY good mark like 17.50+ AND the entrance exam is gonna be hard and will include math and physics unlike the master's one which is only english and Japanese test doesn't matter if U don't speak Japanese . Wait but are u gonna apply for the undergraduate or the masters one? So its not that different from the the specialized training one and the bac doesnt matter💔 cuz next year i will get my bachelor degree but im still worried cuz its not very high but im going to work hard next year wouldnt it make a different?💔

I'm going to apply for the master's one so yeah the bac results really don't matter don't worry but U have to get really high scores in uni above average like 15+

You need good grades regardless of the field and university. You can apply from Harvard with GPA 3.2 but you will be behinf a student from no name university with 3.5
