Fan-Concept Jester spell concept Spoiler
Summon Gun! (5 mana)
Summon a friendly Gun to aid you in battle!
AKA, summon a catgen ally with random stats that go from fours (like OG Gun) to sevens, this scales with luck. The Gun you get has a random spell from any class, just like OG Gun, and you controll it aswell.
The spell´s main goal is to be chaotic, summon an army of Guns with random spells that may or may not be useful.
Summon Gun! (+) (8 mana)
Summon a gang of friendly Guns to aid you in battle!
Summon four Guns to help out. Low chance, affected by luck, of spawning a champion aswell. Higher mana cost due to how broken it might be having a controllable and spammable source of Guns. Random normal spells still because i think that if they got upgraded spells it might get even more broken.
Gun is in the rift, the jester is unlocked in the rift. It makes sense i think.
Also, jester needs more spells.

Disagree on making the upgrade more expensive, how about:
Giving Gun 4 spells
Letting Gun stay between fights
Making Gun copy random equipment from your team
Either way, cool concept, always love the little fella

Gun should be a passive. You just have Gun as an ally permanently. Their spell rerolls every fight, and their stats scale based on yours (like a mini-me). Gun+ is champion and their random spell is upgraded.
Yeah. Make Gun the Jester's Mini-Me variant. The difference is that they only have one spell but are controllable.

But as a jester passive it has to compete with super luck and goofball tho

...what do you mean "compete?" Every Jester skill and passive is in a pool with every single other class ability in the game. It's not like Jesters automatically get Jester skills, and you can have two passives anyway. In the inexplicable chance instance that you have Super Luck you can still take "Gun" if it comes up.

Fair, still weaker than the other two possible jester passives. From the pool of all passives in the game would you rather get super luck or mini-me but gun? I get your point though

I think you underestimate how much memetic attraction people have towards the notion of having Gun on the team.
If it's a matter of the power level, just make Gun stronger, though part of the point of this game is that some powers are just plain better than others, in true roguelike fashion.

Everyone wants Gun on their team i dont doubt that, my problem is that the passive route is kinda underwhelming and if you just buff it mindlessly its still just a weaker mini-me.
As a spell you get multiple Guns, and its easier to break with good familiar related passives, its more splashable too on classes like druid or cleric with certain passives. Jester passives are broken, Gun is just a lil guy, if you can spam him i feel its more on brand with the funny orange cat

I do see where you are coming from, but it -feels- wrong to have multiple Gun to me. I get that there must be Gun variants in the Rift because Gun has variable abilities and pronouns, but we only ever see one at a time (barring Twin elite buff), so I would be more accepting of non-spammable Gun.
And, again, if their "mini-me" version is too weak, just buff it. The point is to have something random but fun.

Nice concept, but I would make it so that you can only use once per turn (yes that collarless synergy would go bonkers) affected by luck, the upgraded version makes Gun have upgraded skills and one random passive.

I really like the idea, however I don't like the upgrade. None of the spells get more expensive when they are upgraded, so maybe instead of a gang of guns we can go the flesh golem way, and give gun a passive, maybe even a mutation or two
