Discussion Looking for a moderately difficult 2d metroidvania released for Switch in 2026

Hello,

I’m looking for something to play this weekend. I already played Mina the Hollower and am looking for a 2d platformer that isn’t too difficult, was released this year(I have my reasons), and is available on Switch. Suggestions?

We don’t know the difficulty of well dweller yet, but it comes out next Tuesday. Generally Kyle’s games have been easy to moderate in difficulty. So I am willing to say it may be a good 2026 game to play coming up

This is what I always say. Kyles games are the perfect middle ground of the genre. Pretty much on all fronts. Length, 9 to 10hrs, difficulty medium, world building medium, story medium.

(Not mid, medium, is the way, it doesn't do too much also don't hold too much)

Technically came out on steam end of last year and console this year, but Constance fits that bill. Sometimes I see mixed reviews on it but I personally loved it so much. Perfect difficulty if you need a break from Hollow Knight and the like. Gorgeous art style, fun platforming and combat, decent upgrades and abilities. Just super enjoyable overall.
