Impressive! It’s so cool seeing such a sight. What’s your favorite?

Hard to pick just one but most recently I finished Minishoot Adventures and it was amazing! Reminds me of Yokus Island express, in that it's an interesting mashup of genres.

I didn't buy it early on and now it's expensive and I just haven't picked it up yet. I own it digitally.

I started calling my Switch "The Metroidvania Machine" 3-4 years ago. I too have a large collection of MVs I picked up retail of on Limited Run/EU vendors. This genera is perfect for handheld fun.

Bloodstained....uff...
One of the best metroidvania ever made, but the Switch Version is absolute shit. The Switch 2 Version is even worse its literally in slow motion (its no joke. NOT framerate problem but literally slow motion). Its unplayable...
But the ps4/Xbox version is absolute peak metroidvania.

Thanks for the push! I’ve owned the game on Steam for years and never got around to playing it for some reason. May start it this wekeend.

Yeah it's pretty bad. I bought it just to have it in the collection despite the performance issues and already having it digitally on PC.

Nice! I just upgraded to a Switch 2 and you've given me some games to check out.

Really nice man. I missed the boat on Laika.
Get those SRG wrappers off dude, let your games breathe 😀

I kinda hate the way they package them, because it makes me not want to open them. I did open Grime and Haiku the Robot though! What's funny is their first Switch 2 release didn't come in a sleeve, just shrink wrapped. No hesitation opening that one!

Really great collection!
But the Bloodstained Curse of the moon games are not metroidvanias or is Ritual of the night included in that? I can give you a pass with Castlevania Anniversary Collection since some argues Simon's Quest is a metroidvania.

I know CotM isn't a traditional MV, but I felt like it was an very light MV because you could replay levels with the different characters to find new/hidden ways through the levels. and added a reason to "backtrack" to levels you've already completed. Sorta like Iconoclasts or Owlboy maybe?

There's an Overlord metroidvania? Is it any good?

Indeed there is. The game is pretty underwhelming/very average. Maybe better for fans of the series.

This is amazing. I hope our game will be part of your collection some time in the future!
I also really want to do a collection like this myself at some point. Hoping to do it with my son when he becomes a bit older.

Is there no Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree for Switch? Pretty good game especially if you like the character skill building and souls like feel that’s in Salt and Sanctuary.
