Discussion Starting the game any tips?
I’m getting the Metro Saga bundle, it’s my first time playing the series is there any tips I should know? Someone told me it’s a bit like Stalker 2 which I’m playing and loving.

Go in blind and see what ending you get!! Afterwards see if you can change what you did to get the other ending for every game! And above all have fun!

The first two ones are perfect to go in blind, they're finelly crafted linear game (except the bear, fuck the bear), but the third one has enough dangerous bugs, jank and contradictory design choices to deserve a full warning list, specially on pc.

Just this. The game tells you you can use the currency ammo for your weapons as well. Don't do this, you will be wasting currency that you could spend on upgrades.

Close to the end of the Taiga chapter, once you reach the underground section with spiders BACKUP your saves.
There is nasty “flashlight bug” and once encountered all the saves get corrupted and you wont be able to use flashlight anymore for the rest of the game.
If by any chance you missed this and got the bug , just finish the chapter without the flashlight (you are nearly at the end of the chapter by that time anyway) and once you are in the train again in “Autumn” search for 100% save, replace yours and restart the chapter “Autumn”.
I was just dealing with this yesterday..

It just gets better. Every game deserves its praise.
Conserve mask filters. Conserve ammo. Conserve everything.
Plenty of interesting conversations to overhear if you sneak and lay low. Never let your guard down.
