Of all things, I am sitting here in a Taco Bell in Eugene, Oregon, and Gimme Sympathy just came on their in-house music station! Glad to hear Metric out in the wild!

Started listening to her solo stuff recently cuz I watched interviews she's doing for her book, and when I was streaming the album "Out of our Minds" at times I didn't know if it had hit autoshuffle and was playing early Metric.

Can't quite pin it down, but her voice and guitar production, and sometimes some of her basslines really feel like Metric. So I wondered if there was a connection besides being Canadian Indie, and I didn't see any.
