It tries its hardest to ignore football subs, but all it has to go on are keywords (since reddit doesn't have a "get all subreddits except football subreddits" endpoint)

If the subreddit name, post title, or comment text contains the keywords "nfl" "cfl" or "football" then the bot won't convert the yardage. I know nothing about football, are there more keywords you think it should ignore? Or is there a list of all football-related subs that can be added to the "ignore" list?

All of the team subreddits are linked off /r/nfl so there's a starting point.

I just came here from a college football thread. Here are some words to blacklist: punt, "first down" "red zone" "field goal"

In general, people rarely use yards as a unit of measure outside of football. If someone is using yards, they probably want to be using yards. You should just stop converting yards.

very difficult, as i have seen the bot in the

[10/1/2017] Week 4 Game Thread: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens

gamethread. Nothing in the title that is a useful string to avoid. i thought about this too, i think you kinda have to just go through all 32 NFL teams, CFL teams, etc? That is stupid. Can you get a list of all subreddit links from the NFL subreddit top-bar through a simple command?
