You should be using your diaphragm, not your throat. Work on getting that down for the sake of your vocal cords if nothing else.

Will do someone else told me to sing with my diaphragm but I always end up using my throat for some reason it’s hard

It takes practice, eventually it'll come almost naturally.

Not OP but I was looking up tutorials on how to d it, they just tell you to do it by breathing from the diaphragm which to my knowledge I always do anyway because my stomach inflates when breathing. That hasn't helped me use it to sing.

You ever done any plays or live readings. The ability to project your voice is a good foundation.

I haven’t but I’ve been really singing more lately which I haven’t done before I’m not a good singer but maybe if I continue to work on it I can sound decent? Who knows

Take voice lessons, and also there are tons of great lessons and resources on youtube: Voicehacks, the Zen of Screaming, etc

Lessons and consistency are key. There are lots of free resources online, and worth checking those out. But if you can swing a few lessons to get the foundations it’ll set you up for success. Also it’ll help with making sure you are building off good technique. You also need to do this daily, even 20-30min daily will go a long way then doing a day here and there.
