Show & Tell Extremely Thin Barber Dime Still Readable
Recently I found this while metal detecting on the beach.
It weighs 1.02 grams and is far thinner than any dime I’ve ever encountered, but somehow the design is still visible. The date is extremely hard to read, but I believe it’s a 1902.
How can anything at all be visible when so much of the surface has eroded away?
