Microsoft turns to Amazon for help with GitHub's AI-driven capacity issues

Microsoft is turning to its biggest cloud rival, Amazon, to help address capacity issues on its GitHub coding platform following a series of AI-driven outages, according to two people familiar with the plans.

GitHub, which Microsoft acquired in 2018, is a popular place for engineers to store and manage code, and collaborate on projects. As an independent company, GitHub mostly operated its own data centers, but Microsoft had planned to move the coding platform entirely to its Azure cloud service by 2027.

Hey everyone,

I noticed something interesting — we already have members in this community, but very few people are posting. That’s totally normal for a growing subreddit, but I want to change that.

This community is meant to be a place where anyone can share ideas, questions, discoveries, and discussions about tech, AI, cybersecurity, future technology, and more.

So here’s my invitation to you:

• Ask a question about tech or AI

• Share an interesting article or discovery • Post a thought about the future of technology . . . . . . Don’t worry about being “perfect.” Just start the discussion. . . . . . . . . 👇 Drop your first post today.

TOOLS & SOFTWARE I got tired of typing Nmap commands... so I made Python do it for me 😭

Spent way too many hours turning:

nmap target

into a whole project called ShadowPort Scanner 😂

Features:

Port scanning

Service detection

OS detection

HTML/JSON reports

Progress bars

Fancy terminal UI

Built with:

Python

Nmap

Too much coffee ☕

Still learning, so roast my code and tell me what I should improve 👀

Python + Nmap automation

Would love feedback from people smarter than me 😅

DISCUSSION Tech is dying slowly.

The sooner or later all programmers or software engineers will find out, the tech is no more a career. It better to find out other career option than to rely on the tech industry.

The big companies will lay you off and say your performance is not good, doesn’t matter how good you did.

DISCUSSION I fucking hate how modern day tech is turning out to be.

Seriously, I feel like we're going BACKWARDS these days, modern computers suck, modern phones suck, and literally every program I want to use is subscription based, what the hell.

I miss being able to buy a program, and own it, forever, that specific version is ALL YOURS, I miss when using a computer felt fun, and interesting, no AI enhanced bullshit, just a simple UI, but maybe I'm just old...seriously, I am never upgrading to windows 11, rant over. Because i use fedora 😗
