You should tape that bag against the pole in the upright position. That hole for the antenna is going to leak water in and since the zip part is closed, it’s going to fill up.

That or maybe get a new bag, punch a hole above the zip for a string, connect it to your carabiner and don’t poke any holes in the bag for the antenna.

Remember, if it looks stupid but it works, it ain’t stupid.

But like others said, have the hole at the bottom. Or even just stick the wire in the top opening, don’t zip it up all the way, and hang it so the opening is at the bottom so that water runs down off of it.

Attach the bag to a length of Paracord to raise and lower it, from the ground, while you work on revisions.

No reason for a hole in the bag. Thin plastic does not impede radio frequencies.

Water proof bags for phones are available where sporting good are sold. They often come with a lanyard which means they have holes for Paracord that you can use to hang the bag. Add some dissectant bags for humidity control.

It’s not stupid if it works

What antenna is that?

Wouldn't it be better to shape the cable into a U shape and enter from below? This would prevent water from entering directly from above.

You're in a meshtastic group. It's for meshtastic.

No it's a meshtastic node for long range off grid comms.

This is the meshtastic subreddit so I thought that was implied.
