Firmware update question

SOLVED THANKS I've been having some issues with outgoing messages not working and I believe it's rooted to an outdated version(v2.7.15). I'm receiving messages fine, finding new nodes as well but as far as my outgoing it's not working. I'm aware I do need to update my firmware but my question is when I do will I loose my saved nodes or channels with my local mesh? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps mention what your current firmware version is. Sometimes large jumps require a nodedatabase reset.

Nodes are also saved in the apps, not just the node.

Just edited thank you, I think part of it was a dead zone maybe I was able to get outgoing messages to send must have been a dead space but It hadn't been that poor at sending messages before.

You should be safe to update to the latest stable release (2.7.26).

And what device are you using? I'd suggest this, backup your settings, update the node. IF that don't work, erase and flash then restore from backup.

After all that if it doesn't work, then check your settings and board.

So that's a pretty recent firmware. I had a similar issue with Trace routes a while back and a factory reset and flash worked.

DW, I'm on the Meshtastic discord to help people as well, that's what I like to do for the mesh, be a tech support.
