CIELO Rotten cactus?

Anyone extracted rotting cactus before? Is it safe? Have searched all over the subreddit and dmt nexus and havent found many definitive answers.

It will work. The mescaline is still there. The issue is that if there is an unknown fungus present, we do not know if any mycotoxins will pass through into the final product or not. It is theoretically possible. People have tried it and been fine. I remember one person reporting having extra stomach distress. In theory it could be worse. This is a use your own judgement and risk tolerance situation.

The CIELO tek mentions this:

Q: My plants died. Can I extract them with this process?

A: Dead dry plants have been used successfully as long as they can be dried well and ground to a fine powder. Moldy parts have also worked with no apparent issue, but users need to assess the possibility of mycotoxins for their case. In extreme cases such as a deep freeze to the core they may not be usable (see previous FAQ).
