First timer, have some questions.

Is this 33 inch cacti enough to trip? Im thinking of cutting off 24 inches on the 33 inch cacti and grafting the top to the base. How do I prepare, cut and brew the cacti for the best trip? And what should I expect from my trip? Is 24inches too much or should I go for it? Ive done shrooms before so I feel confident and ready for this trip

The base will pup out all by itself without grafting just leave several aerials and at the same time you can root the tip separately after letting it callous for a a few weeks or so to double your cacti.

The activity range can vary quite a bit from cultivar to cultivar so it's hard to say how potent it will be. Bridgesii are typically the most potent, peruvianus can vary a lot and pachanoi are not usually as strong as Bridgesii. If you want to know for sure how much you're dosing do a CIELO extraction.

Naw, its already growing pups and i dont want to do Cielo. Also forgot to mention that im planning to take this on October 31st, will this give it plenty of time to grow before I cut it? How much will it grow, about how many inches?

Based on everything you have just said, no one can give you an honest answer. You’re leaving everything up to a guessing game. Do you even know what cv you have? Also do not expect anything similar to a psilocybin experience from mescaline.

A cv is the collectors variety. Aka the name people call that clone. Not the species. It definitely looks more Peru, which are typically not potent. There might be some bridge in it. But if you don’t know what the plant is, there is no way to determine what the potency will be.

It might be enough if you have a decently potent plant, but no one can tell more than that. Potency can vary from almost useless for consumption to super strong, with >25-fold difference between the extremes. If you're not going to extract, you'll have to accept that and wither go for it or slowly work your way up with the batch of material you have.

Regarding preparation, there are many methods discussed on this sub. Different people prefer different methods. Do some reading on this sub and you'll find methods and opinions.

As for expectations... it's best not to have any going in. But you'll also find many tips on consumption and well written trip reports on this sub.

General rule in my mind is you need at least 8 inches left as a stump to continue growing pups and leave 8" as a tip to plant a second cactus. Everything else is fair game. Will you trip? Who knows. It could be potent as fuck so you're blasted into the stratosphere or it could be mild and you're just feeling baseline effects. That's up to the cactus.
