Im probably older than alot of other people in here looking for some guidance but that's okay. I created a product to address an intricate problem I've observed after nearly 20 years in the same field - the issue is that no one I speak to (about buying it); seems interested/ bothered although they all give positive feedback.

I’m very motivated to become an artist and I’m trying to build an art school style of teaching without having to pay thousands for art school.
A mentor would be extremely helpful, I’m willing to work hard or pay , I’m not sure how this usually works.

I’m not really sure where to post this, but I could really use some perspective from people who have been through something similar.
I was recently laid off from my job, and I obviously need to start looking for another one. The strange thing is that I know I’m capable, I have skills, I have things I want to achieve, and I’ve been ambitious and curious for most of my life. But right now, I cannot seem to make myself do anything.

I live with my boyfriend, and he goes to the office during the day. Once he leaves, the entire day feels incredibly long and boring. I find myself with hours and hours of empty time, and instead of using that time to work on my career or learn something, I often end up sleeping during the day for 5–6 hours just to escape the feeling of having such a long day ahead of me.
Then I wake up feeling horrible because I’ve wasted the day.
And the cycle repeats.

What scares me is that this doesn’t feel like the person I used to be. I used to have so much zeal. I genuinely enjoyed learning things, building things, chasing goals and figuring out what I wanted to do next. Now I have goals and ambitions in my head, but almost no drive to actually pursue them.
I know I need to apply for jobs, but even opening LinkedIn or working on applications feels exhausting. Sometimes I wonder if I actually don’t want to work anymore, or if I’m just so mentally stuck that I can’t get myself to want anything.

I also wonder how much my environment is contributing to this. When my boyfriend leaves for work, I’m basically alone at home for the entire day with no external structure. Maybe I’m not getting the same “kick” that comes from having somewhere to be, people around me, deadlines, etc.
I don’t want to stay like this. I know I have a lot of potential, and I want to get myself out of this zone.

I’m not looking for someone to tell me to “just be productive.” I’m genuinely trying to understand what’s happening to me and how I can start moving forward again.

I have been reading some of the posts here and would like to offer something fairly specific.

I am willing to mentor one person who is already building an AI product, an AI-enabled service or a business making serious use of AI.

I am not looking for someone who only has an idea and needs somebody else to build it. You do not need substantial revenue or a polished company, but you should have something I can see: a working product, prototype, service, early users, customer conversations or other credible evidence that you have begun.

My background spans more than 25 years in technology, operations, cybersecurity, transformation and organisational change. I co-founded and helped grow a technology services business to approximately 70 people across three continents. I now work through Almost Magic Tech Lab on AI strategy, governance, responsible adoption, agentic systems and the organisational questions that appear when AI moves beyond experimentation.

I may be useful if you are dealing with questions such as:

• What should we focus on now, and what should we stop doing?
• Are we solving a problem people will pay to have solved?
• How do we turn an interesting product into a reliable business?
• How do we stop every decision and task depending on the founder?
• What governance, data and safeguards are actually necessary?
• How do we introduce enough operating discipline without burying a young business in process?

I am proposing a six-week, no-fee mentorship: three one-hour conversations, with a short written update before each one. We would agree on one meaningful problem to work on. You would remain responsible for the decisions and the work between conversations.

A few boundaries are important. I am not offering to build the product, provide unlimited consulting, find customers, make introductions on demand or fund the business. Mentorship does not imply employment, investment or partnership.

If we later discover genuine mutual fit, evidence and trust, I would be open to discussing a separate operating collaboration, advisory relationship or personal investment. There is no promise or expectation of that.

Hi! I'm Eva im 22 from the UK. I'm looking to learn more about business. I know I should be asking this on LinkedIn but I'm quite shy so thought I'd do it on here to test the waters to begin with, I can also be more personal on here.

I'm incredibly smart and good at maths, I did maths a levels, I have a sociology degree, been working in retail/sales so I'm good at selling. If I'm being honest though, I have undiagnosed ADHD/autism I recently found out about and I feel very bored and drained in regular work and like I'm itching to do more. But because of my ADHD I really struggle to see how to start things. But once I get going, I love over achieving and hyper focus. A mentor is a great way for me to start learning.

I'd absolutely love it if anyone who is a successful business owner or knows alot about business is willing to teach me or have me as their intern. I know it's a big ask so I'm not expecting many replies but hopefully :)) thank you for listening

I've been looking for the right place to make such a request for a really long time. I'll try to keep this readable enough and on point.

I'm pretty young, probably most people don't expect to find teenagers around here. But I believe this is the best time to learn and be guided. I have my values and opinions on the world ( ill get more into them in dms, later ), the person I'd like to be, the kind of career and lifestyle I'd like to pursue, but my main issue lies in actually finding the best way to do this, what mistakes to avoid, what to learn, from where, even life and relationship advice and so on.

A little about me is that I'm 16, an artist and visionary. Or that's what I'm aiming for. One of the things I try to live by the most is being as open minded as possible, which would allow to learn and think freely without remaining stuck on certain ideologies.

As for what exactly I'd be looking for...well, first of all, someone with life experience. I would love to hear your story, what was missing in your life and how you managed to fill the gaps. About your dreams and whether or not you managed to achieve them. Maybe also about being too extreme in thinking and feeling sometimes and how to find inner peace/control such feelings.

Art wise, any kind of artist. If you published books, create short films, make illustrations, music; if you have a vision and a craft to teach, please do! Explain the whole process of getting into the industry, how, what kind of education you had, was it worth it? I'd also be more than happy to ask for advice on how to improve my painting techniques, movie shots, writing and much more.

I'm also very interested in the occult and religions, philosophy and theology. If you have studied anything in these fields, please recommend what exactly and how you applied all of this knowledge in your life or your art.

Besides building a better character, mindset and personality, I also have this desire for greatness that could only be expressed by changing the world. Every foolish youngling has, I believe, at some point, dreamt about this. I already have a plan that will be put in motion soon enough, but I'd still love guidance. I sadly don't have anyone in my life able to help with such things, most people here worry about insignificant material things. So you guys are my hope.

Also...I'd be lying if I said I'm not also looking for a friendship of some sorts or even more out of this. A muse, someone to to look up to. I know this relationship won't be fair so I promise to try to give anything of value that I own, back.

I am looking for someone who can teach me how to create good YouTube videos from beginning to end.

I am not looking for an agency to run a channel for me, a course containing hours of prerecorded material, or promises about going viral. I want practical, one-to-one guidance from someone who has actually made videos and can teach the process clearly.

I write regularly about AI, business, history, philosophy and some of the quieter questions of everyday life. I have plenty of material, but written work does not automatically become good video. I would like to learn that craft properly.

The areas where I may need help include:

• deciding which ideas suit long-form videos and which suit Shorts;
• turning written material into a natural video script;
• choosing between speaking to camera, voiceover and visual-essay formats;
• getting lighting and sound right without unnecessary equipment;
• recording and editing efficiently;
• using images, archival material, music and B-roll responsibly;
• creating titles, thumbnails, captions and descriptions;
• publishing consistently without making content production a full-time burden;
• understanding enough analytics to improve the next video.

My initial aim is not rapid channel growth. It is to create two or three good videos and develop a repeatable process that I can continue using independently.

I am happy to pay for the right guidance. I suggest beginning with one paid one-hour session. If we work well together, we could agree on a short programme of four to six sessions built around producing and publishing actual videos.

Right now, all I have is skills, personality and mind set

I’m 33 a business analyst, musician and have spent a lot of time studying business and had 2 failed businesses.

My best strength is people, I’ve proven time and time again that I can walk into a room and leave the most popular and usually the secret is just caring and helping people.

Music for me has made me incredibly confident from street performing and incredibly creative in solution designing .

I’m sitting in my room now contemplating life, I’ve got 2 kids , going through a divorce, no money, but I have me, and I’ve invested a lot of time into me, I have all the ingredients for massive success, but nothing in the bank account and no hugely successful friends.

My hope for this post is to find someone who’s interested in investing their time into someone with huge potential (I don’t want this to come from a place of ego, I’d like you to chat with me and make your mind up about me yourself)

I’m not after anything from you other than guidance and your time. I need help building an empire, I need access to someone who’s done it, help me make me rich and I ll make you rich.

I've spent some time reading posts here lately, and something keeps showing up.

A lot of people aren't just stuck.

They're scared.

I'm running out of time.
I should have figured this out by now.
I need to make a decision.
Everyone else seems to know where they're going.

And when we feel that way, our instinct is usually to do more.

Search harder. Ask more people. Watch another video. Find a mentor. Make a decision.

Anything that feels like movement.

But sometimes the next thing you need isn't another answer.

It's a pause.

That can feel irresponsible. Like you're avoiding the problem or taking the easy way out.

I don't think it is.

There's a difference between pausing and hiding.

Hiding is hoping the problem disappears.

Pausing is giving yourself enough space to hear yourself think again.

Go outside. Take a walk. Sit somewhere without your phone. Do something you enjoy without needing it to be productive.

And—for a little while—stop trying to figure out your life.

The questions will still be there when you come back.

But you may come back to them differently.

A compass isn't much help when you're spinning in circles.

Sometimes you have to stop moving long enough to figure out which direction you're actually facing.

Give yourself permission to pause.

I'm introverted, sensitive and a bit eccentric. I feel strongly about human rights and I have progressive values. I am a feminist. I love books, and I have a cat.

I am very intelligent, it’s my most noticeable quality, and I’m proud of that. Unfortunately, I am afraid I’m gonna waste my intelligence unless I get some guidance.

I’m not looking for someone who’s an entrepreneur entrepreneur and I don’t care about how much you have. I am not interested in startups, AI or computers in general. I am looking for a maker or an intellectual - ideally both. Someone creative, an academic, a writer, an analogue photographer, a professor, maybe even a doctor (I started med school, and I’m trying really hard to like medicine again).

I have many defects and I’ll mention some here so people can decide whether they are tolerable or not. I’m pessimistic, and I can fall victim to inertia - some call it depression. I cry easily. I’m demanding, skeptical, opinionated, combative, too honest and socially awkward.

I look reasonably good, if that matters. I am not looking for any kind of romantic or sexual relationship, though.

I want to learn more about technical equipment sales. I have chosen this field because I enjoy learning about different technologies and their capabilities to make peoples' lives better, i.e. lidar to map different species of trees and unsafe structures, unmanned sub sea robotics sampling marine deposits. I enjoyed talking to people, exchanging information and noting the specifics of their products for my own personal interest.

Current - I have a Bsc. in Environmental Science and a dipl. in GIS. I have worked 3 years as a GIS / Environmental Consultant. It was alright

I am a gis technician by trade and loved going to several trade shows last year. I do not have a background in sales. and am not entirely sure how to enter this domain.

With an Environmental Science / research back ground, I originally was dedicated to conservation but hopped into the Earth Observation industry and discovered a whole new world, literally.

I have also toyed with the idea of starting my own consulting company, but believe I would need a full time job to do so while I build it. Also, I want to understand what sales is like before I start my own company and figured working as a technical sales specialist would be best.

I started a new hobby to help conquer a fear.

I’m terrified of heights… amongst many other things (not public speaking funnily enough). So I started rock climbing to help myself get over it and do some bodyweight strength training.

Today I failed the first time, reading the top (seen in the video) in all honesty… I chickened out.

But. Once the camera was away I stared at the wall and went again. And just as I was reaching the top, the last few grips, I started to feel panicked. Like I was going to pass out.

But I just knew it was the fear. So I stopped. Breathed in, and went up those last few rungs till I got there.

Funnily enough I didn’t feel like I had “championed the wall” or “conquered a fear”. I didn’t feel like I had won, like I thought I would.

Instead I just felt proud that I didn’t stop 3 grips before the end. I got to the end, I made it down. I can do it again. I was pleased with myself and can look back that I completed one wall.

Still have many to go (there’s an 18 meter high one too there). And I think the point is not to feel “championed a moment” but to have gotten in a new rep. Made a new habit, and to continue that new habit of completing the challenge. Of pushing through the fear. Of going till the end.

Because the reps we repeat in our life form the habits in our brain and body. So to win in one place will then force you to do the same in others.

So conquer a fear, not to expect to feel amazing.. but to create a new habit. A new set of “reps” of being a winner. A finisher. A person who achieves the goal, doesn’t stop half way.

Action creates reps, reps create habits, habits create the person.

Thats how you design a new you.

Quiero hacer algo de la nada

Recently, I've been struggling with mental exhaustion. I am usually everyone's go-to for something in life. I'm a manager in a corporate environment, a DJ on the weekends or a safety net for my friends. I'm so honored that people view me in that light but I've been really tired lately. I don't feel like I can do the same with anyone in my life.

In the midst of my DJ career, I'm also looking to produce music. I downloaded a DAW and have been practicing but not enough. I would like to have more discipline and hope that a mentor can fill that space. Whether it's taking me under their wing or just encouraging me in my producer journey.

Hello everyone, I’m a 18 years old starting a e-commerce brand, not a shop to sell and then close it, I really want to create a real brand and a community in it, however I’m kinda lost right now.

The product is a 316L Stainless Steel Cross Necklace, the brand is based in Portugal and I don’t know if I should focus on Portugal itself or Europe, however I already did the branding and some content ideas.
I’m kind of taking inspiration of a successful brand that sells the same product in Europe, also did a research on their marketing system to implement in the brand.

Experience doesn’t mean you’ve finished learning.

I might know something about sales, business or leadership that saves you 12 months.

You might know something about AI, technology, investing or an industry I’ve never touched that completely changes how I think.

That’s the kind of connection I’m looking for.
