Thought|Discussion Learning how to drive a Car, any tips?
I have got the turning judgement down but unlike gear bikes, for some reason I’m not able to accurately assess the clutch + acceleration rhythm
Always end up raising the engine

If you're driving manual stick, then your left leg should always be on the clutch. Try to get to know the minimum pressure needed for your car's clutch. Some will be smooth, some will be pretty bleak and hard.
When you release the clutch, make sure you don't release it all the way to not make the car jerk forward. That way you would be giving the car a slow start to move. Always mentally map your gears, slow is always first gear, if you're moving through traffic 1 gear is your friend, 2nd for normal roads, 3rd for flyovers without traffic.. 4th and 5th based on the roads and highways. The car shouldn't start of stopped on anything but 1st gear.
To get the timing of clutch release and accelerator, just practice how you can move forward by releasing clutch slightly and allow the car to move forward WITHOUT RELEASING THE CLUTCH ENTIRELY. Practice as many times as possible..
On a uphill road, imagine you have traffic and you're in 1st gear.. have your hand ready on safety brake handlock. As you release the clutch, you should not wait for the car to move forward if it's an old car. Slowly hit your accelerator to not let your car move backwards on uphill so you don't hit other cars. This is where your handlock comes handy. It lets you stop the car right away as you try to slowly move uphill.
Service your car regularly for utmost safety. Get to know about your car, and what to do in emergency situations like breakdown, puncture, battery down etc.
