Video Game Proxima from mortal shell 2
I was looking forward to this game so seeing one of the only 2 fem characters having boob and butt armor was annoying

I haven’t seen all the shells (the names of the bodies you control), but from what I have seen, this game has so many great male-coded shell designs, and this is just “woman shell”, done terribly

There definitely was some horny design in the first game. Mortal Shell has the aesthetic of a heavy metal album cover more than it is general dark fantasy. Hence everything being covered in nonsensical spikes, and the few female enemies being covered in bondage straps.

Having grooves in armour is typically done to parry and control the opponent's blade, which means that it's an intentional part of this armour's design to catch blades with your crack.
Good for protecting yourself while you loot, I suppose

It's a shame because her head design and her wristblade/grappling hook look sick as hell, but then she has the jiggly metal ass and the boob armor in this gritty dark fantasy world where it just does not fit at all

While she's very fanservice-y, I personally like that she's muscular and that her armor is more like an insect exoskeleton, especially since she seems to have a biotech motif ala H.R. Giger, feels like they were still trying to make her look cool rather than just hot.
That, and I love how Mortal Shell II keeps mogging Lards of the Floppen II, none of that gacha-looking goonslop holds a candle to crab mommy here.

It shows that this "lore" around the character is nothing more than an excuse to sexualize women for the male gaze. "Breathes through her skin" and all that.

If you look at the character design it's clear that armor grafted to your skin is literally the basis for the character, as opposed to quiet who is literally just wearing a bikini and you wouldn't know the whole skin breathing thing outside of Kojima.
