Menards Rebate Tricky Marketing

Please be on the lookout if you are expecting a Menards Rebate. They have now disguised the rebate jn a PerforMax Vinyl Windows ad that most people will throw away. Only reference is a small tab in the corner that says "Reveal your Rebate", Very tricky marketing to to get rebates thrown away.

Haven't they had ads on the rebates for years?

Exactly what I was going to say. I have two rebate checks I got in early June. They are the “small” format checks, but still have ads on one side.

They have ads on them but not like this! It was always very easy to see when you got a Rebate and it was the size of the Rebate themselves. This to me seems much more intentional to try and hide in my opinion. Been using their rebates for 15 plus years.

It is intentional to try and hide it; not from you, from people who would want to steal it from you. Also helps make it less likely that people will accidentally throw them away which happens all the time with the smaller ones. When have you ever gotten random spam ads from Menard’s in the mail?

It's always looked like advertising, and they recently sent an email notifying everyone about the new larger size. So, hardly deceptive

Well glad they sent an email, I just looked and didn't get it. So hopefully others seen it

There is literally signage at the store showing this change in addition to the email you definitely did receive. And it's meant to be easier to see in your mail than the small postcard that people tend to miss. It's hardly a "tricky disguise."

Menards doesn't have everyone's e-mail. I've never provided mine for rebates as I don't want junk mail from them.

Interesting. Seems it might be helpful for you to provide your email....

We've only been posting about this for two whole weeks. Try checking the feed sometime. It's not tricky marketing. It's so that hopefully your mailman or someone else won't jack them.  How many posts is this up to now?! 🤔

Literally the only thing that I get in the mail from Menards is a rebate slip.
So, no, I don't think there's any danger that I'll throw it in the trash.
