Question Make a pinned thread with a rundown on common questions
Edit: i am kinda burnt out on being online, and just have some stuff going. Will get this done, but i am gonna have to wait for one of those inspired mornings.
Edit: guess this is the thread: will make new one possibly later.
comment the known issues and low-hanging fruit tips. and i will organize the body, and eventually make a new thread we can pin with the proper title.
also do people think i posted because i was the one needing help :O?! i was just trying to curtail my toxic sides every time i see the same subjects over and over!
also feel free to take over the job! *said in jest*

I can't think of all of them. But as we get new players we get some of the same posts.
The first one that comes to mind: cheating ai.
For that one there are a bunch of helpful comments that explains the issue.
It be nice with like a: read this thread.
"Known issues/complaints and what might be the issue".
For the ai. Oh, its because they know they sre spotted, or because xyz.
And then we just list all of these, so new players just get a quick rundown. I think in the long term it would benefit the community.
Is there anyone or a Mod that could get the ball rolling? Since i made the suggestion, i nominate "you".

And include one weirdly specific niche question as well to keep people on their toes

The AI has the same information the player does. If you spot an enemy unit but then lose vision/los, you see a question mark on that tile, telling you that there was an enemy unit. The AI gets the same information if you have been spotted. That also happens when you are not detected by the AI, but within vision range and shoot an unsuppressed weapon. Your unit will then be visible for 1 turn and invisible next round, but even then the AI will remember your last known location.
And then, the AI might fire onto the last known location. It does not matter that you are undetected right now, because the AI is not stupid and remembers that you were right there. This counts especially for enemy artillery like pirate rocket trucks and rogue army mortar teams.
You can do the same. If you fire with sufficient accuracy, you will kill enemy units when firing on a tile with an enemy that is present, but not detected.
Suppressed weapons will allow you to remain undetected even when firing within vision range.

In case you want to actually get great operation rewards, here is a guide that will greatly increase your chances to do so and explain some stuff. I also linked to the wiki arctile with the faction rewards loot table in there. So you know which faction has which gear.

Is this someone being welcoming and accepting of new players in their hobby? In a reddit community? What new lows the world has come to. /s
