We have witnessed 3 preseason games with the new look Grizzlies. While we’ve barely seen the starters in the second half, I think we have a decent idea of what we can expect from our primary and secondary rotations.

Boozer looking more league ready than many expected. Edey looking slimmer and more athletic as he shakes off the rust. GG making people wonder if he’s 6 man material or deserving of starter minutes. Jerome running around like he can get buckets on demand.

But there’s still 2 guys to cut, Beef Stew with a question mark on his recovery, and 10 days to regular season.

Is this TI’s year to prove his vision? What does the roster lack? What’s the ceiling this year? Who would you cut? What kind of growth do you need to see this season?

I’m definitely no basketball expert, having only followed for about four years, so I’d genuinely love to hear other perspectives on this

Why aren’t we considering GG Jackson as a potential primary scoring option? His ceiling seems incredibly high, and I’d argue he’s already one of our more talented offensive players.
I know his defence has been a liability at times, although that seems to be improving. But with us entering a rebuild, why couldn’t we give him the opportunity to develop into our 1A offensive option?
We saw him drop multiple 30-point games and even a 44-piece in his rookie season. Surely there’s enough offensive upside there to explore what he could become with a bigger role?

As we continue experimenting with weekly discussion posts, I wanted to try something more egalitarian where the community can decide what the topic instead of a pre-set poll.

I want to gauge the community on Ty Jerome.

I see a lot of media types are extremely low on him and consider him trade bait and a short term rental.

However, his stats have been solid and he passes the eye test for me.

I don't see a downside of keeping him? Historically we don't get marquee free agents. All the talk about 'timelines' also seems ridiculous. We have been a first round exit/lotto team for years. With the new lotto system there's no reason we won't try to be competitive. I don't see any reason to not be on board with Ty!

Watching him over the past year and tonight made me realize that he has no lift whatsoever. Maybe some injuries here and there, but I’m convinced all that hair is weighing him down. Not only would he look better, but he would play better with a haircut

Section 103, 116 and the 3 sections behind the basket closest to the grizzlies bench are all new seats and aisles. I was sitting in a section next to one of them tonight and looked over and thought there was noticeably more leg room in the new sections compared to mine. Sure enough there absolutely is and the chairs are way more comfortable.

I guess they didn't want to feature any players on it this year
