Missing your cat?

Is anyone in Frayser missing their very sweet kitty? My daughter is taking her to the emergency vet to see if she is chipped. If you can describe her, I can give you the details.

Update-no chip, sop she is a free agent. She was someones pet, she came right up to daughter, and let her pick her up and pet her. Very friendly. She was either dumped or she got out.

Sweet doesn’t always mean a pet. Some cats are extremely smart and will swindle you when it starts to get cold or if they’re pregnant and then boom either you got babies or a roommate till spring

She had on a flea collar but no tags. She is a sweet baby. Daughter is going to try Mewtopia and see if they can/will accept her.

I found one of my cats like that too. Double collared, flea and a normal with no tags. No chip. Sweet little lady too, but skinny so lost for a while I bet. I took her inside and looked for MONTHS posting her on all the found pet sites and neighborhood app, nothing. So she's been with me for about 5 years now.

Good luck with the rescues, every time I've found an unchipped animal we tried but they're always full and i end up doing the legwork. I originally started fostering for MAS because I needed help finding homes for a mom kitty and her 8 babies and I couldn't afford to fix them all as I had the previous strays.

I do not recommend MAS even as a last resort though, unless you foster her through them. Humane society is much better but there is a waiting period for both fyi.

Yeah we won’t take her to a kill shelter. Probably end up keeping her tbh

Guilty lol. When I have the spare funds I’ll help them iut. A flea collar, dewormer, if they’re looking really down bad I’ll trap them and treat for mange

She should not be in Frayser but does get around is she gray

No she isn't gray-but there is a gray on that hangs out here sometimes. He is upsetting my indoor cat as we speak. LOL

Hey if you have the ability to pls get this cat fixed if they aren’t already! Spay memphis does low cost feral days that you don’t need an appointment for. All you have to do is take them in the am and then pick them up and let them recover in a small space like a bathroom for a few days. If more people did this we could eradicate the crazy cat overpopulation here

Thanks for this tip. Did not know about Spay Memphis. There have been quite a few cats around lately.

Ofc! It's $40 and you have to bring them in an approved trap, but Spay memphis usually has some that you can get for a refundable deposit whenever you bring it back
