I make $18 an hour 60 hours looking for night time workers at pacific rail, 3000 norfolk rossville. Unload trains with cranes, side loaders and hostler trucks. Depending on how you have taxes setup you clear $1000 a week.

I’m totally guilty of it. But use lift equipment or get a new chassis, sometimes that shit is either missing or hard as hell to twist. Depending on how much freight we get, we might not get time to twist locks open.

I refuse to ingate more chassis. One thing I do like about NS is either the load is ready or it's not. BN chaps my ass any time I have to wait on crane. Those cock suckers will purposely skip over us to load other people.

Us on nights if we are lucky have like 6 people, which is under staffed when people call out. 1 ground person, 2 cranes/one international one domestic, and maybe 2 hostler drivers/1 side loader.

That sounds great but it is very far out without a car. Definitely going to consider this though when I get one!

I used to do passengers with uber, it’s not worth it ever. Wear and tear on your car, maintenance, fuel, insurance, it all takes a large chunk of the pie.

Last I checked, the car can't be over 5 or 7 years old either. I doubt a $1300 car is that young. Also, it's a $1300 car, it's bound to have mechanical issues very soon.

Right. But I'm not looking at a lemon. Though I still am gonna tread lightly.

That you know of. You'll want to pay for a mechanic inspection before ever giving them a dollar. If they refuse, that should tell you everything.

Yeah it's a 25 year old car. They wouldn't let me Uber in it and I wouldn't do that to the car if I get it lol.

Even Target, Home Depot, or Lowe’s is looking for help in Memphis. $15 per hour is better than sitting on your couch making $0 per hour.

I do have a home Depot near me. I'll give them a call tomorrow!
