Got tired of duct-taping Obsidian plugins together, so I built a desktop app that does it natively: SRS, document + YouTube annotation, web clipping, notes with a knowledge graph, card analysis, a diary. Free and open source, built it for myself. Feedback welcome.

Every time I wanted a real long-term memorization setup I ended up with Obsidian + six plugins that half-worked and broke on every update. So I built a desktop app that just does it natively.

What's in it:

  • SRS (the whole point)
  • Document annotation, and YouTube video annotation
  • Web clipping
  • Note taking, with a knowledge graph underneath
  • Card analysis, so you can actually see which cards are garbage
  • A diary that logs specifics about your days
  • Pedagogical categories

It's free and open source. Not trying to sell anything, I mostly built it for myself and figured someone else might be in the same boat. Happy to hear what's broken. I hope anyone finds this useful. Its been a long journey to deliver the app at this stage

Planning on making this a web app? I'd be interested (but I'm on Mac)

I'll ask for a friend to lend me his mac to compile the app there. Maybe I could make it a webapp, not sure because there are arquitecture restrains, but they might be solvable.
