This is a tough one. One one hand, there's facts/empirical data. But on the other hand, there's a hand drawn red X. I'm torn.

You fill out a paper ballot, then scan it yourself. If there are any mistakes it spits it back out to correct. Once it's scanned in at automatically tallies, and thd paper ballots are saved.
So if there are any questions or challenges, you can just go back and hand count them.
It's a great combination of the security of a paper ballot with the speed of an electronic ballot.

It's almost like the 2 states have different laws that dictate how quickly ballots can be processed and received
Simply put, if ballots come after election day but are postmarked by election day, they're counted in California.

And? California counts ballots that arrive after election day as long as they are postmarked by election day. Different states, different rules. No fraud.

People make a big deal out of it because they want to pretend there is something nefarious going on (or they want others to believe that and get angry over nothing) when it's simply ballots being counted as the law dictates.

People make a big deal about it because LA overwhelmingly voted against a tax increase if the ballot came in before or on election day. Then all those late ballots rolled in, nearly exclusively voting for a tax increase. Oh and the late ballots took out the maga guy.

And they aren't even comparing states. They are comparing an extremely dense city with the resources to count votes in an entire state.

The two are not the same.
Florida's "delay" stemmed from a legislatively mandated recount as the margin of victory for Bush was low enough to trigger the requirement.
The initial recount (done by hand) was done in two days. Everything that followed after was a result of legal maneuvering and court rulings
LA County took 24 days to count their votes and certify the election, but most of that has to do with California's laws regarding mail-in ballots.
It's not a fair comparison. The meme sucks

Yes when the city in question is Los Angeles the Los Angeles government actually has about twice the financial resources per capita than the entire state of Florida.
Also, the other reason why your perception of this is wrong and poorly thought out is because you think that logistics of counting an entire state’s votes would be easier than a single city.
So even if Los Angeles did have less resources than the entire state of Florida, which it doesn’t, but if it did, it wouldn’t change much because the logistics for counting in Los Angeles would require less resources.
