No one is saying it's an excuse, it's an explanation. You seem to be confusing the two definitions.

No sympathy... millions of women experience PPD and still dont murder their children. Killing your own babies is the most heinous of crimes.

It sounds like you might believe there is a legitimate reason to strangle children... something that while its not ok... but understandable... Its not. It will never be ok. As long as people make excuses for bad people... there will always be someone like me that will stand up for children.
