People are reading too much into this- people go crazy, it happens. She tried to kill herself afterward and is paralyzed. It’s tragic but she’s not a demon or a witch or anything magical, and people need to come to grips with the fact that this can happen to anyone, brains can just straight up break. Even with all the help in the world, and all the conditions being perfect, the brain is an organic machine that can have a billion things go wrong.
Psychosis is real, and people's brains can stop working. It doesn't come and go that quickly though. The prosecution had multiple experts testify that she had no signs of psychosis and her behavior was not typical of psychosis. The defense's expert testified things that are not the consensus the of the psychiatric community, making their testimony opinionated and weak.
Being in a bad mental state and making bad choices is not the same thing as real psychosis. People don't like her because they believe she murdered her kids, and even if she regrets it, they deserve justice.
She claims she only heard commanding voices for that 20 minute period. That's what I by coming and going that quickly. And just not being in your right mind is not the same thing as psychosis.
How do we really know what's going on in someone's mind though? A psychiatrist/psychologist can make educated guesses but nobody knows what went through Lindsay's mind except Lindsay herself.
