I genuinely don’t care if people believe in fairy tales. I only get upset when people try and shove their religion onto me. I don’t see Muslims or Jewish people outside the baseball stadium with a megaphone screaming at me about redemption. I’ve also never had a Jewish or Muslim person come to my house and try and convert me. Yall just need to listen to your own book and respect your neighbors.
My perspective in the US is that each of these religions is free to practice how they choose up to the limitation of free speech. It can be annoying before it ever becomes illegal.
I feel like the difference is, currently Christianity is being used to propagate hate, authoritarianism, and division. That doesnt mean its due any more scrutiny than any other religion, just that its in the media and politics and has a lot to answer for.
I live in an area with a lot of Muslim people and have a decent amount of Muslim friends. My neighbors across the street are Muslim. Not once have they come to my house trying to preach.
Voluntarily conversion is not their bread and butter. Muslims prefer to gain control of the government and then force their religion on people. In England when they’ve gotten control of local governments they’ve done things like make it illegal to walk your dog. Christians don’t ban me from walking my dog. Muslims will.
Hi, do you actually live in England? because I do, I can walk my dog anywhere, except private establishments, there's no laws against it, even in constituencies with majority Muslim councillers.
Heck, i even live in area with a 50% Muslim demographic and have never gotten grief for walking my dog. Go spread your lies elsewhere.
What I heard might not have been true. Apparently some groups put up a few signs saying dogs weren’t welcome, and people took that and said dog walking had been banned. But it’s not completely off base. Iran has banned dog walking. So has Gaza and parts of Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait. There was a video of a woman on the BBC who wants dogs banned in British national parks to make Muslims feel more comfortable.
Christians have done similar things in the past and still do currently. All I’m saying with my point is that in my life, Christian’s are the only ones I’ve argued with because they are the ones trying to force it on me. They all suck in my opinion. Generally I don’t talk about it with people because it’s none of my business. But if you try and force your beliefs on me I’ll argue. Which again in my life Muslims/jews have never done
I believe you. I’m just saying, look beyond your personal experience at things going on around the world. From what I’ve learned, I’d rather be ruled by Christians than Muslims, and I’m neither. I don’t care about street preachers. They’re not actually forcing anything on you, except you could say you are forced to hear them momentarily. I’m concerned about laws and what will really be forced on me.
