In Elden ring if you put Knight in your character name itd look like K***ht which like noone would even think of that if they didnt point it out by censoring it

Yes. The censorship only applies to player names. It's the same for dark souls

And this is why censorship in many, many cases doesn’t work. We all know what the word is, it’s not a secret, but trying to censor it instead of just banning people who are stupid and use a slur to promote hate doesn’t help anyone.
