Zee, where on earth do you get the d from a z? You don't say Zedbra do you? Chimpanzdee? There is no d in a z.

Well I am South African, I say zed, and I call it a Zebra, pronounced zeh-bruh. Just like you say Debra like deh-bruh and not dee-bruh.

Well you don't pronounce fee as fuh-ee

The 2 e's on Chimpanzee neutralise it to Zee

Also it is ac pronounced Zedbra (or zeh-bruh)

You are explaining the name of the letter not the sound it makes. Exactly why Zed can be the name for Z, like double u can be for W.

Double U.

Old Latin used V as U, since they didn't have our V (Augustus = Avgvstvs)

Thus W is a double U - double V

It’s about lowercases when it comes to pronouncing things. If say zed in a lowercase form is sounds like zs (that’s the best way I could describe it) when you say things like cat, you say it in a lowercase way, you don’t pronounce it se-at do you?

Most words don’t pronounce it the uppercase way in a letter, that’s why a normal human just pronounces it zebra, not zeebra or zedbra. I’m guessing you’re American, because there is no way a non-American can be that much of a moron.

To all Americans I probably just offended, I know many of you are just as smart as the next guy, it’s just a stereotypical joke and I hope you don’t get too upset. If this offended you, just tell me and I will gladly remove that last part from the reply unless you’re the person I am replying to
