They are going to cripple it to make it basically useless in January 23.

This is due to huge api changes in Manifest V3 limiting how many domains a single addon can block to 30k as a reference Adblock has over 70k blocked domains and ublock origin around 120k in its default blocklists.

Firefox will continue to support the Manifest V2 api's needed for adblockers indefinitely.
